One on one with Coach Darin Slack-CEO NFA (Topic-QB Play)

Coach Darin Slack
CEO/Owner-NFA

In 1983, Darin — a Florida 6A All-State high school QB — received offers from many large 1A schools. He turned down all of them to attend the University of Central Florida where he capitalized on the opportunity for early playing time and the experience of playing in his hometown.

In 1987, as a senior, he set 34 school and national passing records. Voted Football News and Kodak ALL-AMERICAN in that season, Slack led the Knights to their best finish in the school’s history: the semi-finals of the Division 2 National Championship.

Since 1988, Coach Slack has trained over 18,000 quarterbacks through The Quarterback Academy and other clinics. He has positioned himself as one of the best teachers of QB fundamentals in the nation. During this time, he has pioneered training techniques that are simple, yet extremely effective at producing successful results for any QB, at any level.

Darin is presently full time with the Academy and travels year round seeking to make a difference in the lives and futures of young men throughout this country. Darin has great zeal for the game of football, but not at the expense of his wife and five children. Darin knows that he will be defined not by his accomplishments as a QB or a coach; but by his character as an individual, a husband, and a father.

Coach Slack will be on tonight to talk about how to develop the youth QB. He will also talk about key events of NFA.
