Coach Mike Adams
Mini Bio:
Mike Adams is in his fifth year as an assistant football coach at South Carolina State. Adams joined the Bulldog staff in 2006 as defensive back coach and coach of special teams’ coordinator. In 2008, he was promoted to defensive coordinator and his assignment changed to linebackers.
Since Adams has worked with the Bulldog defense, SC State has fielded one of the best units in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and the Football Championship Subdivision. He helped Coach Buddy Pough’s team to outright MEAC championships in both 2008 and 2009 and a share of the league crown in 2010. SC State also made three consecutive trips to the FCS playoffs.
Coach Adams will do a series of interviews covering defensive concepts to help improve our programs on the defensive side of the ball. Get ready for part 1 as we talk about the 4-2-5.
