TURN AND RUN BASICS
1. PLANT OPPOSITE FOOT IN THE DIRECTION YOU WANT TO GO
2. TURN PLANT FOOT @ 45 DEGREE ANGLE AND GET CLEATS ON THE GROUND
3. PUNCH ELBOWS BEHIND THE BACK AND POINT TOES (45 DEGREES) WHERE YOU WANT TO GO AND OPEN @ A 180 DEGREES- POINTING TOES CLEARS THE HIPS
4. BURST OUT OF THE BREAK
5. ZONE TURN WHEN THE “4” YARD (VERTICAL CUSHION) IS BROKEN (EYES ON QB)
6. MAN (SPEED)TURN WHEN THE “3” YARD CUSHION IS BROKEN (EYES ON RECEIVER)
7. ALWAYS PUNCH W/ THE OPPOSITE HAND IN THE DIRECTION THE RECEIVER IS RUNNING. INSIDE RELEASE-PUNCH W/ OUTSIDE HAND -OUTSIDE RELEASE- PUNCH W/ INSIDE HAND IF IN PRESS COVERAGE
